Standing Up for Order and Moral Clarity on the Salem Common
Why a peaceful North Shore community must refuse to normalize extremist intimidation in its public square

There is an outrage happening this weekend. It's not elsewhere. It's here. Right in our backyard in Salem. The normalisation of hatred toward one group of people, the Jewish people— is underway. With tacit approval of the city. "No permit was issued.....but we can't stop people from exercising their freedom of speech." This is not a small scale mom and pop group that "needs to raise fifteen hundred dollars" to cover the costs of this two day massive hate fair.
An orgy of open bigotry that gets to fan hatred unhindered, on a beloved, peaceful, and historic open space. A space maintained and managed by the city and paid for by its taxpayers is being surrendered to gaslightighting terrorists? That's freedom of speech? The city of Salem has made a huge error that they will never be capable of walking back unless they shut this down. And they can if they choose to. If they dont this will be the beginning of uncontrollable chaos.
If there is a fear of saying no then there is no need for law and order. This effectively undermines and renders obsolete an entire system of permitting and approvals. Why bother with a permit when you can do as you wish without one. The city of Salem will certainly not be able to say no to what we are currently planning. And we are just the tip of the iceberg. Chabad of the North Shore is already deep in the planning phases of a massive all day event dedicated to the plight of the hostages and highlighting the brutality of the Hamas murderers, and rapists.
Only we won't be glorifying killers on Salem commons. We will be showing the world their true colours. ( please mark your calendars!!! Sunday July 21 from 10 AM TILL FIVE PM.) We are looking for organisations to partner and co partner for this event and will be sending out more info as it becomes available. Obviously if the event this weekend is shut down as it should be, and forced to go through the same channels as everybody else— and applies for a permit for an event that clearly requires one, then we will follow suit.
Make no mistake. I am making a last minute bid to UPHOLD a basic system that functions as the critical checks and balances that uphold order and negate anarchy. We do a MENORAH LIGHTING ANNUALLY IN SALEM BUT WE GO THROUGH THE PROPER GOVERMENTAL CHANNELS EACH YEAR. And we have the same freedom of speech as anyone else. We have done so for over twenty years. But I'll be damned if I'm going to uphold that if it doesn't uphold itself when I'm in need of the safety it is meant to offer— and wich is being blatantly withheld.
Notwithstanding the robust police presence. If there is any Police force that will keep us safe it would be the Salem, Swampscott, Marblehead, Lynn and Beverly Police Departments, each of which boasts stellar leadership that I'm proud to call my friends. But It isn't safe to READ about an event that blatantly and categorically labels my people who are engaged in a war for their survival, a war to uphold THE VERY WESTERN VALUES OF DEMOCRACY AND FREEDOM that Hamas fights against so vehemently as genocidal killers.
It's not safe to read about the glorifying of A group that CRUSHES HUMAN RIGHTS AND TERRORISES, STARVES, and MURDERS ITS OWN PEOPLE FOR THE "CRIMES OF HOMOSEXUALITY" for example, ( a freedom of lifestyle and choice that the city of Salem HAS PROUDLY AND VIGOROUSLY UPHELD BUT THAT HAS NOW UNWITTINGLY UPENDED) A group that USES ITS OWN PEOPLE AS HUMAN SHIELDS TO PROVOKE THE VERY MINDLESS OUTRAGE BEING SPREAD BY THOSE WHO HAVE FALLEN INTO THIS TRAP!
I can't believe that there are good people that think it's ok for a Jewish child whose grandparents were murdered in the genocidal cold blooded murder of six million Jews to walk on Salem commons and see a huge crowd of people, being protected by the police stating openly that the Jews are murderers for defending their tiny country against evil thugs OPENLY bent on their utter destruction.
Till then I URGE you to please join me and many others who are organising this Sunday to stand in solidarity with Israel and its people. Including our full support of the brave men and women who are giving their lives to defend the only Jewish homeland. A moral army that far surpasses any other military around the globe in its efforts to avoid unnecessary civilian deaths. Soldiers who have dropped everything to go protect their beloved families. Please join us in peaceful protest of this outrageous escalation of blatant Jew hatred in our midst.
