Churning with Hope and Rage on the Eve of the Hostages’ Return
Praying for the safe release of our brothers and sisters while holding fast to the promise of Am Yisrael Chai
Are your guts churning with the admixture of renewed hope—that the hostages will be returned imminently, coupled with the anxiety of the wait? Are you filled with renewed rage at the sick captors that did this and will soon greet their fellow henchmen who will be released from the Israeli prisons where they belong? Are you filled with renewed mourning for those murdered hostages who will never return? Are you wondering, if the freed hostages will even recognize the post October 7th world filled with hatred towards Jews?
Filled with so called enlightened educated people who championed the inhumane slaughter of innocent people, the feminists that were silent as young women were raped and brutalized? The new “humanitarianism” that celebrates killing and glorified the killers? The collapsed morality of the academic world that grotesquely inverted good and evil—tacitly encouraging the prolonged captivity and death of Israeli hostages?
There are too many jumbled emotions to list and it’s almost Shabbos. Here’s what I can suggest. let’s come together and find comfort and hope in prayerful togetherness.
Please join us at 10 am tomorrow in solidarity and prayer at The Chabad Community Shul at 44 Burrill in Swampscott—as we Daven for the imminent release of the hostages and hopefully by then to even celebrate their release.
Much Love,
Rabbi Yossi
